title still missing is an introspective photographic journey that captures the nuanced interplay between personal history and cultural identity. Initiated during a pivotal moment of transition — applying for Austrian citizenship while considering profound emotional and cultural in-betweens experienced when straddling two distinct worlds.
Through this series, I return to Albania for seven weeks, not as a musician, but through the lens of a photographer, reengaging with a homeland that I had once resolved to leave behind. The images captured during this return explore the evolving perceptions of home and identity, framed by the broader narrative of migration and the ongoing quest for belonging.
Each photograph serves as a narrative fragment, piecing together a story of return and rediscovery. The project utilizes the powerful concepts of studium and punctum to highlight how seemingly ordinary scenes can hold deep personal resonances, bridging the gap between past memories and present realities.
